The main research areas of Professor Zeng include development strategies of Macao gaming industry, regional economies and micro-economies, strategic management, corporate competitive intelligence management, etc. Over the past five years he has published nearly 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals in the United States, Australia, Mainland China and Macao, including papers published in SSCI journals, top and core journals in Mainland China. He has also published five academic books. Professor Zeng studied in the U.S. in 1988-1989, and conducted European Union sponsored research projects in Austria and France in 1999 and 2000. He has presided over projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Small & Medium Enterprise Development Strategy), Guangzhou Social Science Fund (Guangzhou Small & Medium Enterprise Development Strategies), the China-European Union Higher Education Cooperation Fund (China-EU Corporate Strategic Alliance Research), Macau Science and Technology Development Fund, and others.
